Terry Curt Smith, 59, of Odin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
He was born September 17, 1964, in Champaign, the son of Darrel Smith and Betty (Pendleton) Smith. He married the love of his life, Tina (Timmons) Smith on April 30, 1994.
In addition to his wife of 30 years, Tina Smith, Terry is also survived by his daughter: Megan (Blackman) Perun and husband Justin, sons: Travis Smith and Justin Smith, grandchildren: Carter and Emma, mother and father-in-law: Terry and Roger Berning, brother: Butch Smith and wife Sherri, step sister: Linda Johnson, nephew: Andrew Smith and wife Jessie, nieces: Morgan Nierenhausen and husband Kyle and Erica Kirkpatrick, and sister-in-law: Chris McKenry, great nieces: Taylor, Alaina and Kennedy, and great nephews: Clain, Jace and Liam.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Darrel and Betty Smith and step mom: Betty, brother: Dee Smith and step brother: Mike.
Things Terry enjoyed were: hunting, going antiquing, woodworking, Nascar, racing, being outdoors, riding his golf cart, bargain hunting at yard sales, fishing, travel, and learning about history, and westerns.
He will be missed by many, especially his smile and sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia.
