Gwen E. Talbert, 69, of Centralia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17th at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
She was born on February 2, 1955, in Centralia to Charles Earl Newman and Geneva (Charlton) Tacke. She married Steve Talbert on August 1, 2020, and he survives in Centralia.
Also surviving are two sons, Casey Mulvaney of Centralia and Jesse Kell Mulvaney and wife Jennifer of Richview; eight grandchildren: Brett and Ruth Ann, Kyle and Bridget, Haley Reser, Kaylynn, John, Alli, Cameron, and Rome; six great-grandchildren, Levi, Joseph, Hank, Clair, Audrey, and Silas; a brother: Robert Casey and wife Kathy of Iowa; a sister: Winnie Weemer and husband Don, of Odin; an aunt: Joan Kline of Omega; and several nieces and nephews. Also her fur babies Harley and Rider.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and a brother, Tom Mulvaney. Also her fur baby Rusty.
Gwen was a homemaker, who loved her family. She was a lifetime member of the Centralia V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 2055.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, 2024. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Centralia V.F.W. Post 2055 and/or the Shriners Hospital in St. Louis.
