Brian Lee Hays, 50, of Salem, passed away on August 13, 2024, at his home. He was born July 15, 1974, to Ronald Hays and Brenda (Reppond-Hays) Ainscough, in Centralia.
Brian is survived by his father: Ronald Hays; his mother and stepfather: Brenda and Vaden Ainscough; one son: Dalton Hays, wife Cassidy, of Iuka; one daughter: Amber Hays, and fiancé Tyler Ross, of Alma; three grandchildren: Mason Pickering, Daxton Hays, and Mattie Hays; one brother: Jonathan Ainscough, significant other Gina Pusateri, of Decatur; two sisters: Kim Ragland, husband Matthew, of Sesser and Lisa Oller of Centralia; also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Donald and Mary Hays; Step-grandparents: Vaden and Mary Ainscough; maternal grandparents: Horace and Ava Reppond; also, several
Brian had many interests, in his life, that brought him joy: playing pool, fishing, Nascar, St. Louis Cardinals, football, being a member of the Centralia Moose since 1997, and helping anyone that would ask for help. He was very proud of his service in the Army, but his greatest joy was found in his time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, with cremation rites and burial to follow, at a later date.
