2023 08/02 – Wilda J. Church

Wilda J. Church, age 77 of Salem, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Salem Township Hospital.

Wilda was born on January 11, 1947, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of William and Vada (Schaeffer) Neabuhr. She married Delmar Church on March 24, 1972, in Irvington, Illinois and together they spent 52 years united in marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Delmar Church of Salem; daughter, Sharon Bryan and husband John; brother, Ivan Neabuhr of Irvington; sister, Linda Neabuhr of Irvington; four grandchildren, Cheyanne, Ashley, Brittany, and Montana; two great-grandsons; nephew, Paul Neabuhr; and a great-niece, Sydni Neabuhr.  Wilda was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willam and Vada; a brother, Marvin Neabuhr; and a great-grandson.

Wilda retired from Meridian Rockwell after working for 33 years.  She had a passion for horses, and together she and her husband Delmar traveled five states barrel racing.

Graveside services for Wilda J. Church will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Fouts Cemetery in Irvington with Roy Koduvalil officiating.   Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.
