An overloaded extension cord is believed to have started a Sunday morning fire that gutted the bedroom of a mobile home at #8 Richmond Heights Mobile Home Park in Central City.

Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera says the fire was at a home occupied by Timothy, Robert, and Laura Tolbert.  The three were home and got out safely.

Smoke was showing from the bedroom area when firemen arrived on the scene.  They got a quick knockdown and kept the fire from spreading beyond the one room.  However, there was smoke damage to the entire home.

The fire call came in at nine Sunday morning.  Firemen were on the scene for about an hour.
