The Salem Little League Complex is finishing up their preparations for the 11u State Baseball Tournament that will be held on the grounds starting tomorrow and running through Wednesday night. Teams from Elmhurst, Champaign East, Mt Carmel, Rochelle, Tri-Cities, Western Springs, Streator and Hinsdale will compete for the State Championship.
Little League Board President Brian Lipe told WJBD/WSIQ Sports, “It’s a great opportunity to showcase our facility and our town. Our league has thrived for so many years and this is just one of those things you get to do because it has been done right for so long. We see it as an honor to get to host.”
