The Colt League World Series gets underway today in Marion at the home of the Thrillbillies. The tournament begins at noon with Tijuana, Mexico taking on Chiba Japan with the winner playing Marion at 8pm tomorrow night. In that game, Salem junior Noah Nix will be the starting pitcher for Marion.
At 3pm today, Youngstown, Ohio takes on Aroma Park, Illinois. At 8pm it’s Southern Illinois and Paderborn, Germany. The final game of the first round will be tomorrow morning at 9am with Rio Grande Valley, Texas playing Greensboro, North Carolina. That winner will play again at 3pm against Santa Monica, California. The Tournament will conclude no Tuesday night with the crowning of a champion.
