After more than a year of work and planning, the miniature golf course at C-Town Twist at 122 East Calumet in Centralia has gone into operation this week.

The 20,000-square-foot course was constructed by its owners and operators Jeff and Mary Kay Castellari.

“Mary Kay and I have worked hard to put this together and we think it is a great addition to the community and neighboring communities as well.   Mini golf and ice cream go hand in hand.   We look forward to growing the business and seeing some new faces around here.  It is much needed in Centralia.”

Castellari says the initial response to the course has been good.

“We’ve gotten a lot of feedback in the few days we have been open. People said it is an extremely tough course.  The best score we have seen is 46 and we’ve had some repeat customers still coming out to try and beat that challenge.  It’s been try and beat that challenge.   It has a lot of trick shots.  It was professionally designed.  A full 18 holes and ADA compliant.  It is very unique to this area for sure.”

Castellari says the course even has a water feature and a decorative water fountain.   He’s proud that local contractors were used to build the course.  Additional parking has also been added and the hours of C-Town Twist expanded to 11 am to 10 pm until the start of the school year to allow for greater use of the new course.  Castellari is hopeful the miniature golf course can operate most of the year.

Castellari says the first year of C-Town Twist has been a good one with a very steady business after a really big opening.
