A 44-year-old East St. Louis man has been found dead in Washington County.
The victim is identified as Montez Pearson. His body was found at 8:44 pm on Wednesday night, July 19th, near Lunte Creek Road west of Nashville.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department has requested the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation to investigate the death. Both ISP DCI Zone 7 investigations and ISP Crime Scene services responded to the scene.

DCI says the investigation is open and ongoing. No other details are currently being released about the death.
