The President of SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia and Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon has joined the board of directors of the Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville Foundation.
Damon Harbison is a 2004 graduate of the school’s Master of Business Administration. His wife Michelle is also an active alumni.
Harbison says they have been highly engaged in several SIU-E committees and events over the last few years. He says they look forward to continuing that path and contributing in multiple ways to the foundation. Harbison notes he is joining a stellar board that is populated with high performers that want the best for SIU-E.
The SIUE Foundation works to support, create, and enhance educational and other opportunities throughout SIU-E, and continues to set a new University standard for alumni engagement, community partnership, and giving. The Foundation recently announced great success in raising over $11.1M, the most ever raised by private philanthropy in the University’s history.
