The Sandoval School District will have new elementary and junior/senior high principals in the coming school year, but both are familiar faces.
Former sixth-grade teacher Adam Hanks is returning to the district as grade school principal. He has been the principal at Vienna Grade School for the past few years since leaving Sandoval.
The current grade school principal, Scott Bunting, will become the principal at Sandoval Junior/Senior High School. Bunting replaces Nathan Mayberry who resigned last month. Bunting has been at Sandoval Grade School for the past five years.
The board at its meeting this week acted on a number of other personnel matters. Jaycelynn Erhardt was hired as the new junior/senior high school secretary and Colton King as the junior/senior high school night custodian.
A number of assistant coaches were also hired. They are Brandy Dykstra for the high school volleyball team, Travis Timmons and David Rademacher as junior high boys baseball coaches, and Nick and Nikki Nolte as girls junior high softball coaches.
