A 25-year-old rural Salem man has been arrested on multiple charges after allegedly firing a gun into his residence late Saturday night.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Zacharia Hodge of Red Stripe Road reportedly fired one shot into the home after apparently becoming upset by a disagreement taking place inside. No one was struck by the bullet and there were no injuries.
Hodge was arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of methamphetamine, and criminal damage to property.
Earlier in the evening, the Salem Fire Protection District was called to the Hodge home where a Ford Ranger that was being scrapped out caught fire and was destroyed. It was close to a shed, but there was no damage reported. The fire call came in at 7:27 Saturday night.
