An 18-year-old rural Dix man escaped with apparent minor injuries following a single pickup truck crash on Route 37 north of Brown Road south of Salem early Sunday morning.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Colten Perchez of East Baseline Road left the road, struck a culvert, and overturned. Reports have not yet been completed.
Salem Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Bill Fulton says Perchez was extremely lucky as he was able to crawl out a window of the truck which sustained a smashed-in top.
The crash occurred at 4:30 Sunday morning.
