It’s a busy next few weeks for area youth bowlers as the Jr Gold Championships are being held in Indianapolis at three different sites around the city with thousands of bowlers from around the country participating.
Salem grad Brighton Lucas competed in the U20 Division this week and finished just 84 pins or 5.25 pins per game away from making the cut. Nate Myers was 2.5 pins per game from the line. Zach Ludwig also qualified for the event and bowled well.
Next week it’s the younger Divisions that will take center stage. Salem will be sending 7 bowlers to the U18 Tournament. They are Charlie Hunter Nick Gregg, Silas Moats, Rhett and Ryan Detering, Rhett Runge and Keaton Gullion.
Vandalia’s Macy Jones has a legitimate shot of winning the U15 girls division.
