Daniel Lee McIntosh, age 37, passed away July 9, 2024, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Daniel was born September 20, 1986, in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Ricky Lee McIntosh and Gale McIntosh (nee Osborne). He married Kaley Rae McTall on June 24, 2016, who survives.
In addition to his wife Kaley, Daniel is survived by his daughter, Rylee McIntosh of Centralia; Alaina McIntosh of Salem; son Levi McIntosh of Irvington; father Ricky McIntosh of Dix; mother Gale (Osborne) McIntosh of Alma; sister Stephani (Babak) Roohani of Augusta, GA; Alyssa (Darren) Carroll of Salem; in-laws, Doug and Donna McTall of Irvington; sister-in-law Lacey Burmester (Tyler) of Phoenix, AZ; nephew and niece, Joseph and Ruby Roohani of Augusta, GA; grandmother Annabelle (Hicks) McIntosh of Waltonville; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother Matthew Wade McIntosh, grandfather Gerald E. McIntosh, grandfather Glen Osborne, grandmother Vivian (Parker) Osborne, Uncle Dale Osborne, and Uncle Gary McIntosh.
Daniel worked 19 years at Continental Tire in Mount Vernon. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Tennessee Titans fan, video gamer, fisherman, mechanic, and an all-around tinkerer and collector of many things. He loved road trips and one of his favorites was an annual trip to Gatlinburg with his wife Kaley. Daniel always enjoyed a cold drink with his friends and ensured laughter was shared by all. He never met a stranger. He loved his two Boston Terriers, Bentley and Brody.
Funeral Services for Daniel McIntosh will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at Sandy Branch Cemetery in Kinmundy. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home in Salem.
