Another arrest has been made for methamphetamine delivery as a result of ongoing investigations in the Salem area by the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24-year-old Shelby Futch of West Warmoth Street in Salem at her home on Tuesday on an outstanding warrant charging two counts of delivery of methamphetamine.  She was taken to the Marion County Jail where she is being held in lieu of $40,000 bond.

The court charges accuse Futch of delivering less than 5 grams of meth to a confidential source of the Drug Task Force on two separate days in October of last year.

Futch had a public defender appointed to represent her.

A request was made on her behalf during her first appearance in Marion County Court Wednesday for assistance to be placed in an inpatient drug treatment program.
