Four new felony drug charges have been filed in Marion County Court following weekend arrests.
33-year-old Michael Wimberly of East 4th in Kinmundy and 34-year-old Whitley Mulvaney of Meadow Lane in Salem were both charged with Class X felony charges of possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine. The charges upon conviction require a six to 30 year prison term. Both were also charged with Class 1 felony charges of possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine. The meth was allegedly found in the car the two were traveling during a traffic stop by Salem Police early Sunday morning. Bond for Wimberly was set at $50,000. Bond for Mulvaney was set at $7,500. A public defender was appointed to represent both Wimberly and Mulvaney.
Bond was set at $60,000 for 33-year-old Lacy Heitkamp of East Marvin in Central City after she was charged with possession of a controlled substance after less than 15 grams of fentanyl was allegedly found in a car involved in a weekend traffic stop by Central City Police. Heitkamp reported drove a short distance home, got out of the car, and went into her home. A passenger indicated there could be drugs in the car, leading to the search. Heitkamp eventually came out of the home and was taken into custody. A public defender was appointed to represent her.
Bond was set at $10,000 for 33-year-old Nicole Dutton after she was charged with possession of under five grams of methamphetamine. Dutton, who told Salem Police she was homeless, was arrested following a pedestrian stop. After being taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, she allegedly was found in possession of a syringe that contained what field tested as methamphetamine. A public defender was appointed to represent her.
