Tickets go on sale at nine Monday morning for all grandstand activities at the Marion County Fair. There will be in person sales only from nine to noon. After noon, phone line orders will also be accepted by calling (618) 548-1251. There is a $3.00 fee with use of a credit or debit card.
Fair Board President Doug Telford says they have added something new to the Sunday night, July 30th, lineup.
“This year we have added Dale Jones a comedian for the first Sunday night of the fair. Just trying something new. Welcome everyone out to enjoy his show that will be following the Talent Show on Sunday night.”
Telford says the rest of the line-up is similar to last year starting with the Moto Cross competition at six Saturday night, July 29th.
“ITPA tractor pull is Monday, Queen Pageant Tuesday, Whiperwill Rodeo Wednesday, Jr Miss pageant Thursday, Friday is the demo-derby which is still one of the biggest ones in the area.”
The fair will conclude will the PPL tractor pull on Saturday, August 5th. It includes Super Modified Tractors, Super Farm Tractors, and Super Stock Tractors.
