Three people were initially taken into custody on Class X charges of unlawful delivery of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine after a search warrant was executed on a home in the 600 block of North Broadway in Salem Wednesday afternoon.

Those arrested were 34-year-old Travis Shawn Juds who listed an address of North Scott Street in Odin, along with 42-year-old Gilbert Sidener and 32-year-old Jessica Sidener of the 1200 block of West Bennett in Salem.

Juds and Gilbert Sidener were taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges while Jessica Sidener was released from custody by the Task Force pending the ongoing investigation.

The search warrant was executed by the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation, Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force agents, Salem and Centralia Police Departments, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

SEIDTF is comprised of the Salem Police Department, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, the Robinson Police Department, the Mount Carmel Police Department, and the Illinois State Police. This investigation was a cooperative effort amongst the area police departments in an effort to curb drug usage and violence in the area.
