Four people were arrested when a burglary in progress Sunday night was broken up at the former Banks Bowl on Old US 51 in Junction City.

21-year-old Toby Boughers of Walnut Hill Road in Centralia is being held pending a decision on formal charges for felony criminal damage to property.  18-year-old James Mancinelli of Laclede Avenue in Odin, 20-year-old Shaina Phillips of Ste. Marie, and 18-year-old Chelle Tracy of Walnut Hill Road were all given notices to appear for misdemeanor criminal damage to property.

A neighbor reportedly saw the plywood door kicked in.   Once inside, the owner of the building reported several items were broken or painted.

Centralia, Central City, and Wamac Police all initially responded to the scene until a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy could get to the scene.

All four were taken into custody without incident.
