Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say a car stolen from a Salem home Friday morning was found about two and a half hours later crashed along the Tonti Road west of Winegarner Road.
Deputies were notified when the car was found partially on the road after apparently running off the south side of the road and striking a culvert.
No one was around the car when it was located at 9:39 Friday morning.
Salem Police had been called to a home on Lamar Drive shortly after seven Friday morning when a resident reported a relative had broken into her home and stole the keys to her car before leaving with the vehicle.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
