A 28-year-old rural Odin man has been sentenced to eight years in prison with a recommendation for the Illinois Department of Corrections boot camp program after pleading guilty in Marion County Court to a felony theft charge.
Trevor Langford of Norton Road admitted to taking three spools of electrical wire valued at $500 to $10,000 in October of last year.
The sentence will run concurrent with a four-year prison term, also with a boot camp recommendation, handed down earlier in Jefferson County for possession of methamphetamine.
As part of the plea, Langford had a burglary, possession of stolen vehicle, and criminal damage to property charges dropped and his probation ended unsatisfactory on possession of methamphetamine and domestic battery convictions.
After getting out of prison, Langford will have to complete one year of mandatory supervised release.
