2022 06/14 – Vincente Ayala

Vincente Ayala, 83, of Central City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

He was born July 19, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Benjamin Ayala and Angelita (Hernandez) Ojeda. He married Delores Adams in September of 1973 and she preceded him in death on April 9, 2016.

Vincente is survived by his four children: Armanda Ayala, Zena Ayala, Melissa Garrett and Toni Fornwalt; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one step son; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Albert Ayala, Julian Ayala, Rosie Ayala, and Lucy Castro; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son: Benjamin Ayala, two stepchildren, a brother, and a sister.

Vincente worked as a welder for Klein Armature and Valley Steel for several years. He had a passion for gardening, he was known for sharing his tomatoes and his vegetables with his neighbors and friends. He also loved cooking and he previously cooked at the Meadow Woods Country Club. Vincente enjoyed hunting and fishing at the family clubhouse.
