In Little League Softball Majors at the Complex, Somer Real Estate beat Radiac 10-3. Maxlyn Maciejowski had a hit, run and 2 RBI in the win. Ady Pracht had 2 hits and 2 runs, Zetta Graham 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBI. Chelsey Haines was the winning pitcher.
Marion County Savings Bank earned a walk-off win over Salem Tire 13-12 no a 2-run single from Alaigha Hughes. MCSB built a 4-run lead in the 4th inning then held off the Salem Tire charge seeing them score 5 runs. The Bank scored 6 runs in the 2nd inning led by Emily Jones, Hughes, Keria Merideth and Karmen Murray. Merideth was the winning pitcher striking out 15. Kaolin Lewis was in the circle in the loss striking out 8.
In Junior League action, Salem IGA beat Peoples National Bank 25-3. Wyatt McCarty had 4 hits including 3 doubles. Nicholi Marhanka drove in a run in the loss while in the win it was Damon Jennings, Jarett Rushing, Ki Johnston and Brendan Smith. IGA scored 12 runs in the fourth winning. Chase Potter and Ryan Geiler helped in the inning. McCarty allowed 5 hits and 3 runs with 6 k’s in 4 innings of work.
In boys coach pitch, Country Financial beat Pennington Chevrolet 17-2. Reed Knapp and Levi Knapp each had 4 hits with 3 from Payton Etnier, Greyson Dodson, Spencer Gaston, Avery Garrison, Hagen Simmons and Royce Nattier. Braydon Conner added a hit.
