Plans have been announced for the Second Annual ‘The Big Baldridge and Bonfire Music Festival’ in downtown Patoka.
Drew Baldridge is excited about the line for the festival that has been set for Saturday, October 14th.
“We have Diamond Rio coming with us which I think is awesome. I’ve always loved Diamond Rio and looked up to their music. I think it is going to be so cool to bring Diamond Rio to our little area that doesn’t normally get artists like that coming to it. I’m going to be playing. The Beaucoup Bottom Boys. A lot of my old members who used to play with me years back are playing with that band. We have Taco Truck which is a brand new band to the area that is really doing well and that people are loving. We also have Jamie Nattier too, another local Patoka boy, I grew up writing songs with.”
Baldridge says the setup will be the same as last year with the large stage and fenced-in area in downtown Patoka. He admits surprise by the crowd of 2,500 last year and he hopes this year’s event is even bigger and better.
“We had plenty of room for it and plenty of parking. Obviously, everybody will be very safe. We’ll have security. It will be handled just like a music festival would be handled, very professionally.”
The festival gates will open at four pm. Music will run from 4:30 to 11 pm. Baldridge says tickets are going on sale today at DrewBaldridgeMusic.com under the tour section. Tickets are $40. He says there will be plenty of food vendors and beer will be on sale at the event, with no outside food or drink allowed to be brought in.
