State Police say the driver of a hit and run vehicle that crossed the centerline of US 50 between Sandoval and Odin and struck a State Police car was located a short time later.
Preliminary information indicates the driver of the vehicle was eastbound when for unknown reasons it struck the westbound State Trooper. Minor damage was sustained to the ISP squad car.
The other vehicle did not stop but was later located in the Denny’s parking lot in Salem. The driver was ticketed for improper lane usage and leaving the scene of a property damage crash.
No injuries were reported.
The incident was reported at 7:27 Tuesday night.
