Ann Henson, age 91, of Kell Passed away Friday May 17th at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
She was born April 15, 1933 in Kinmundy the daughter of Earl and Imogene (Puffer) Feather. She married Ernie Henson March 4, 1966 in Salem and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage before Ernie passed in 2021.
Ann is survived by her son Rollin and Cindy of St. Peters and by her daughter Laura Henson of Centralia. She is also survived by a sister Charlotte Lewis of Farina.
Besides her husband Ernie and her parents she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Harold and Marge Henson.
Ann was strong in her Christian Faith and was active in the Zion Hill Baptist Church while her health permitted. She was an accountant and did the books of the Odin Health Care Center for several Years along with the family business. The family business was the family farm along with a commercial flower growing operation where Ann and Ernie were both listed as Master Gardeners by the University of Illinois. She volunteered at the Lifeboat Homeless shelter and was active with the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ann was also a talented painter and received several awards for her works.
Funeral Services for Ann Henson will be held Thursday May 23rd 2:00 P.M. at the Zion Hill Baptist Church. Pastor Don Schaffer will Officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at the church. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery.
