These boys worked hard this season and it’s paid off! You are looking at two state qualifiers! Andrew Tate and Logan Bandys season earned them a #4 seed in our sectional, which also gave them a first round bye. In sectional play today they defeated Marion in the second round 6-1 6-2, and Centralia in a hard fought third round that went to three sets with Salem coming out on top 6-2 3-6 6-3.
Bandy and Tate head back to sectionals for day two today.
Mason Jones also made it to the third round winning two matches before falling to the #3 seed, just missing state.
The doubles team of Alex Wilzbach and Jarett Rushing played some darn good tennis as well, making it to the third round and falling to the #2 doubles seed.
John Tran fought hard but fell in the second round.
