The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an incident at a Junction City home that ended in an altercation and arrest of a man on aggravated unlawful use of weapons and aggravated battery charges.
The initial call to the sheriff’s department indicated someone had pulled a mobile home up next to the caller’s home, tore it apart, and was burning it about 50 feet from the residence.
The caller, 61-year-old Mark Rudolph of East 14th in Junction City, was later arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated battery. Reports indicate Rudolph allegedly hit the person who had come to his residence with a gun, but no shots were fired. The two apparently knew each other.
Sandoval Ambulance was called to check out both men on the scene. Rudolph was treated at Salem Township Hospital before being taken to the Marion County Jail. The other person declined hospital treatment.
No details are available on why the mobile home had been brought to the residence.
The initial call came in at 8:47 Saturday night.
