2024 05/09 – Rosemary Foley

Rosemary Foley, 70, of Centralia passed away Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home.

She was born on August 23, 1953, the daughter of Harry and Dora Mae (Heavenly) Davis in Gary, Indiana. She married the love of her life Emmett R. Foley on April 7, 1978, in Sulphur, Louisiana, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, James Brian Tingel; her sister, Verna Davis of Centralia; caregivers and friends, Brenda, Barbara, Tammy, and Pam; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Emmett Foley, Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Dora Mae Davis; three sisters; and her son, Chris Tingel.

Rosemary met her one true love, Emmett Foley when he was in the service and the two were then able to marry after his tour in Vietnam. She worked as a loyal employee at the Marine Exchange in Sacramento, California. Rosemary appreciated the companionship of her beloved dogs, raising Boston bulldogs. She was an avid collector of little rabbit figurines. Rosemary was extremely crafty and creative, making new designs on her Cricket machine, and designing clothes on her sewing machine. Rosemary’s kindness, imagination, care for animals, and love for her family will never be forgotten.

A graveside service will be held in memory of both Emmett and Rosemary at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024.
