Ms. Rita Ann Nadolski of Radom, IL, was called to her heavenly home surrounded by her family at her residence on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 10:20 A.M. She had attained the age of 89 years, 3 months, and 21 days.
Rita was born on January 2, 1935, on the family farm in Ashley, IL, the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (nee Kujawa) Rynski. She was united in marriage to George Nadolski, Sr. on June 21, 1952, and they later divorced. This marriage was blessed with five children.
Rita worked many years on the family dairy farm. She also worked at Fireside House in Centralia, IL, Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. and she also did private sitting for several elderly people in the local area. Rita was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Radom, IL. where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Sodality and the Mother’s Club. She was also a Past member of DuBois AARP. Rita loved her family, flowers and going to dances.
Left to mourn her passing are her daughters, Cheryl (Nadolski) Cameron of Ashley, IL, and Sandra (Nadolski) Suchomski and friend Janice Lamke of Scheller, IL; sons, Edward Nadolski and wife Chiree of Ashley, IL, and Gerard Nadolski of Ashley, IL; grandchildren, Sarah (Kevin) Kirgan, Michael (Chrystal) Cameron, Marcia Le, Teresa Nadolski, Jonathan Nadolski and Patrick (Carrie) Suchomski; great-grandchildren, Trace and Raven Kirgan, Mylee and Oliver Cameron and Henry Suchomski; step-great-granddaughters, Kourtney (Caleb) Williams and Riley Barbee; honorary grandchildren, Payton Rhodes and Rase Hawkins; sisters, Dolores Krzyzanowski of Florissant, MO and Maxine (Albert) Czerniejewski of Granite City, IL; brother-in-law, Richard Radake of Scheller, IL along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, George Michael Nadolski, Jr.; grandson, Joseph Nadolski; sisters, Helen Hupp, Geraldine Radake, and Clara Rynski in infancy; brothers, Stanley and Bennie Rynski; brother-in-law, Emmett Hupp and Lambert Krzyzanowski; sister-in-law, June Rynski; and Rita’s fiancé, Bill Short.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Sunday from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. and on Monday from 9 A.M. until service hour. The rosary will be recited on Sunday at the church by the St. Michael Altar and Rosary Sodality at 6:45 P.M.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to St. Michael’s Cemetery, St. Michael’s Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
