Marie Elaine Koy, 73, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:11 pm on April 24, 2024 in Mount Vernon.
She was born August 15, 1950, in San Diego, California to the late Donald McPherson and Mildred Lucille (Kennedy) Dantinne.
Marie is survived by her children, Dawn McConnaughay and husband, Scott of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Katie Allen and husband, Ryan of Woodlawn, Illinois, and Danny Koy of Woodlawn and grandchildren, Olivia Grace, Devin James, Ava Rose, Ryan Jr., Lauryn Marie, Aubrey Rayann, and Alexander Dean.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, Marie was preceded in death by her son, Allen Koy.
Marie worked as a cook on towboats for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
