Mary Stonequist, of Salem, passed away on April 18, 2024, in the presence of her loving family. She was born in Kane County, Illinois to Arther and Elizabeth (Marsh) Stonequist.
She was a postal carrier for more than a decade in DeKalb, Illinois. She was also a member of the VFW in DeKalb, Legend in DeKalb, and the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem.
Mary is survived by three sons: Michael Stonequist of Salem, Gregory Edwards of Genoa, Illinois, and Thomas Lenker of DeKalb. One daughter: Nicole Rios of Salem. Eighteen grandkids: Jordan Stonequist of Jasper, Ak, Rebecca Griffith-Perez of Salem, Richard Griffith-Perez of Salem, Chance Ramirez of Salem, Holly Wibben of Salem, Danzig Lenker of DeKalb, Osiris Lenker of DeKalb, Alimue Lenker of DeKalb, Lilth Lenker of DeKalb, Lucrezia Lenker of DeKalb, Lyiana Mertens of DeKalb, Allius Perez of Salem, Alekah Perez of Salem, Alissandra Perez of Salem, Legacie Perez of Salem, Izabella Perez of Salem, Jeramiah Perez of DeKalb, and Naveah Perez of DeKalb. One granddaughter-in-law: Tiffany of DeKalb. One Son-in-law: Mike of Salem.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Arther and Elizabeth Stonequist.
