On April 16th, 2024, Elmer (Ray) Schooley passed away at Odin Healthcare.
Born on September 18th, 1958, in Salem, Illinois to Glen and Mary Schooley. He will now be forever chasing the fattest coons and fishing for the meanest catfish with his trusted Redbone.
Ray leaves behind his significant other: Pam Bradford. Three sisters: Rota Harrell of Wayne City, Illinois, Thera Morris of Chicago, Illinois, and Vana Haggerty of Centralia, Illinois. One son: Jason Ray Schooley of Alma, Illinois. One daughter: Toni Puciato of Catonsville, Maryland. Three beautiful granddaughters: Jullian (Nicky) Schooley, Cameron Puciato, and Rylyan Puciato. Along with many more nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mary Schooley, and one sister, Glenda Moore.
In lieu of flowers, Ray asks for anyone reading this to go outside and enjoy the sun, to take in the sounds and smells of nature.
A private burial with family will be at a later date. Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home in Salem is honored to be of service to the family.
