Five acres of woods burned in a fire in the 600 block of Burge Road southeast of Centralia Tuesday afternoon.
Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera said the fire had spread from a stick fire into leaves and then the wooded area.
Due to difficulty in reaching the fire, Salem and Kell Firemen were called to bring additional all terrain vehicles to help fight the fire.
No buildings were threatened.
The fire call came in at 12:25 Tuesday afternoon with firemen clearing the scene by 2:45 pm.
