Large number of prizes handed out to big crowd at Centralia Area Easter Egg Hunt

The Wamac Park saw a large number of children turnout for the Centralia Area Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday.

Wamac Mayor Butch Mathis was excited for all the kids in attendance.

“We got 15,000 eggs, 700 gift bags, over 45 bikes that we have been given out.  This is a phenomenal turnout we are having today.  We are blessed with beautiful weather and all the volunteers.  This couldn’t be done without the community, businesses and individuals support that donated all these wonderful items for the Easter Egg Hunt so tip of the hat to everybody.”

This is the 16th year for the Wamac Park hosting the event.
