The Centralia Fire Department has a new lieutenant.
Jordan Parson was promoted to the position this week following the recent retirement of Lieutenant Robbie Smith.
Fire Chief Jeff Day says work is being completed on a new eligibility list with a new hire to fill Smith’s position on the department expected in the near future.
Day says Parson will remain as a fire investigator. He notes the department will soon have three investigators so there is one on each shift. Day says Drake Tate has already completed the training and Devan Orrill is completing the classes now.
