Unofficial totals from the largest counties in the Kaskaskia College District show the two incumbents leading the four candidates on the ballot.   With unofficial vote tallies from Marion, Clinton, Washington, Fayette, and Bond Counties, Bryan Holthaus was top vote getter with 6,043 votes.  Jim Beasley was running second with 4,929 votes.  Brian Brink was just 24 votes behind with 4,905.  Chuck Lear ran fourth with 1,829 votes.

In the Salem Grade School race, the three incumbents won re-election.  Lynette Dye was top vote getter with 408 votes.  Alisha Ambuehl was second with 393 votes.  Brad Crow won the third seat with 321 votes.   Challenger Karma Dunham was fourth with 259 votes.

In the Raccoon Grade School race, Mehgan English was top vote getter with 79 votes.  Also winning seats were David Jourdan with 66 votes and Daniel Foutch with 63.  Mark England fell short with 54 votes.

In the Odin School Board race, the winners of the four full term seats were Brandon Moore with 133 votes, James Hodge with 117, Michael Hoover with 115 votes and Rudie Walker with 108 votes.  Not winning a seat was Jeanette Hodge with 81 votes.

In the South Central School Board race, the three winners were Tyler Neilson with 285 votes, Daniel Hiestand with 267 votes, and Robert Jones with 234 votes.  Ann Blomberg finished with 189 votes.

In the Patoka School District, with returns from Marion, Clinton and Fayette Counties, Casandra Huffman was top vote getter with 102 votes.  Andrew Goldsboro was second with 100 votes, Jeremy Landreth was third with 94 votes and Andrea Thompson claimed the four seat with 85 votes.  Lucas Barnes was fifth with 81 votes.

It will be Thursday before the results of the Selmaville Grade School race is known since the write-in votes for retired Superintendent Robin Brooks have not yet been counted.  The top two candidates on the ballot that won seats were Thomas Tate with 214 and William Brant Blackburn with 195 votes.  The third ballot candidate, Larry Maxey, with 188 votes will battle it out with Brooks for the third seat.

Write in votes will also determine the makeup of the Salem High School Board.  There were only two candidates on the ballot for three open seats with two write in candidates.  Sarah Meador finished with 872 votes and Kyle Gansauer finished with 808 votes.
