Joshua “Benji” C. Benjamin, 36, of Kell, IL, passed away on Monday, March 25th, 2024.
He was born on Saturday, January 23rd, 1988 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Kenneth and Julie (Featherling) Benjamin.
Benji is survived by his loving father and mother: Kenny and Julie Benjamin of Kell, his two children: Kalynn Benjamin and Karter Benjamin, both of Kell, his grandfather: Richard Featherling of Walnut Hill, his brother: Jordan Benjamin of Kell, his nephews: Kendall Pierce of Kell and Karson Pierce of Centralia, his aunts: Missy Donoho and husband Roger of Walnut Hill and Penny Knepp of Salem, his uncle: Gary Benjamin and wife Kathy of Salem, several cousins: Brian Donoho, Steven Donoho, Jeffrey Donoho, Curtis Donoho all of Walnut Hill, Warren Knepp of Kell, and Nick Benjamin of Salem, and mother of his children: Shawna Telford of Walnut Hill.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Rosemary Featherling, Donald Benjamin, and Mary Ann Warren, his great-grandparents: Clifford and Imogene Melton, and Olcy and Mary Featherling, and his uncle: Greg Featherling.
Benji was a graduate of the Centralia High School Class of 2006. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, four-wheeler and motorcycle riding, and playing and watching basketball. He was of the Christian Faith. Benji cherished spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at noon at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois . Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
