Alexa Michele Dale, 28, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family.Alexa came into this life on January 4, 1996, in Centralia. She was the daughter of proud parents Shanda (Hicks) Myers and James Myers, Sr and they survive her in Centralia. In addition to her parents, Alexa leaves behind a brother: James Myers, Jr.; grandparents: Shannon Aldridge of Carlyle and Gary Myers of Ashley; one uncle: David Hicks and wife Sarah of Centralia; four aunts: Jen Myers of Irvington, Jill Myers of Carlyle, Jeannie Myers of Irvington, and Christy Colbert of Effingham; and several cousins.Upon her heavenly arrival, Alexa was reunited with her grandparents Mitzie and William Hicks; great-grandparents: Leo Elliot, Mary Elliot, Allen Myers, and Helen Thomlinson; and her uncle Tom Hicks.Alexa was a rare and unique individual. She was truly a beautiful soul. She was artistic and loved photography. She could see the beauty in the simplicity of nature as she tried to capture those moments in pictures to share. She had such a caring heart. She had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. Alexa loved her family and friends. They will carry the treasures of their memories of Alexa with them for the rest of their lives.A Service for Alexa Dale will be held on March 25, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Sean Hicks officiating. Burial will follow the service at Little Grove Cemetery in Walnut Hill. Friends can gather before the service on March 25, 2024, for a visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. The family requests that any guest attending the service wear Alexa’s favorite colors of pink and black and sign her casket. Any monetary donations made in memory of Alexa can be made to her mother Shanda Myers and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 N.
