Lenora Thompson, age 93 of Nashville, Tennessee formerly of Salem, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Alive Hospice House in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lenora was born on December 6, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and May (Beard) Parish. She married R.C. “Bob” Thompson on December 12, 1947, in Salem, Illinois and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Eddie Thompson and wife Sheryl of Nashville, Tennessee, Sue Darby and husband Curtis of Woodbury, Tennessee, and Barbara Falkenheim and husband Dennis of Decatur; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Lenora was a member of the Church of Christ. She sold jewelry.
Funeral services for Lenora Thompson will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Saturday from noon until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lenora Thompson Scholarship at Freed Hardeman University and will be received at the funeral home.
