Beverly Hargis, age 78 of Centralia, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
Beverly was born on August 1, 1945, in Centralia, the daughter of Wilbur and Dorthea (Wilts) Johnson. She married Richard “Dick” Hargis on August 29, 1970, and he survives in Centralia.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Sheri Hargis; sister, Georgiann Fulton; three grandchildren, Austin, Michaela, and Christopher; four great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Cypress, Axten and Able; sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson; brother-in-law, Bill Heser; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Hargis; brother, Harold Johnson; sister, Jeanette Heser; and brother-in-law, Charles Fulton.
Beverly was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. She was a farmwife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and Nan to so many. For the last eight months, Beverly was cared for by her husband; daughter; nieces, Lindsay and Kathy; and hospice nurses Carrie and Maddie. She was especially thankful for all the loving care provided by her hospice workers, including the chaplain and the social workers.
Funeral Services for Beverly Hargis will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor Darwin Schrader. Visitation will be held from 8:00 am until the time of the service. The burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Centralia. Memorials can be made to Mt.
