Anita Easley, 73, of Salem, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at her home.

She was born August 30, 1950, in Centralia, the daughter of Charles Knight and Beulah (Strong) Knight. She married Eddie Earl Easley on July 15, 1978, and he preceded her in death on June 23, 2007.

Anita is survived by her son: Charles Easley and wife Lisa of Salem; step-son: Jeff Easley of Salem; step-daughter: Debbie Wolfe and husband Curtis of Kinmundy; 15 grandchildren: Jimmy, Robbie, Kayla, Jessica, Brittany, Alisha, Shawn, Michael, Kandace, Lyndsey, Lauren, C.J., Tragen, Tessa, and Thea; several great-grandchildren, with one on the way; special friend: Dennis Williams of Mt. Vernon; and life long friend: Janet Arndt-Pratt.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Beulah Knight, step-sons: Scott Easley and Brad Easley, and a great-grandchild: Alexis Beckham.

Anita worked for Century 21 Real Estate for 15 years as a Real Estate Agent. She had a passion for rescuing and caring for animals. Lending a helping hand with charity work was another enjoyment she had in her life. Anita cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and also Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the City of Salem, Illinois Animal Control and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home 310 North Broadway/ P.O.
