Centralia Police arrested two Centralia men on felony drug charges following an early Sunday morning traffic charge.
Both the driver, 25-year-old Zechariah Pigg of County Highway 18, and passenger, 30-year-old Scott Anderson of North Elm, were formally charged in Marion County Court Monday with possession of under five grams of methamphetamine. The bond for Pigg was set at $6,000. The bond for Anderson was set at $3,000. Both had a public defender appointed to represent them.
Centralia Police say Pigg had been stopped for speeding near the Huck’s store. The two were searched after a capped hypodermic needle was allegedly found on the floorboard. Police say a small baggie of meth and what field tested as a fentanyl pill were found under the driver’s side seat. Anderson was allegedly found in possession of another small baggie of meth, a pill that tested positive for fentanyl as well as a loaded syringe and meth pipe.
A second passenger in the vehicle was not arrested.
