2024 03/02 – Terrell D. Cleggett

Terrell D. Cleggett was born October 3, 1981, in Belleville, Illinois to Ornie and Emma Cleggett. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mary L. Cleggett, Mattie Weekley, and Cubie Weekley, brother: Greg Cleggett and Aunts: Gertrude Jennings and Helen Jennings.

The Cleggett Family moved to Centralia, Illinois, when Terrell was 5 years old, he received his education at Centralia High School and was Baptized at an early age. Terrell liked to be called Rel. He worked at Circle K in Centralia, moving up to be an Assistant Manager. He also worked at the 17th Street Bar and Grill and received a Pit Master Certificate in Marion, Illinois. He enjoyed cooking, sports, and being around family and friends. Rel had a positive attitude about life.

Terrell had no children but loved his nieces as his own. He will be sadly missed by his parents: Ornie and Emma Cleggett of Centralia; sister: Trumyia Weekley of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother: Bootsy Cleggett of East St. Louis, Illinois; nieces: Tamadja Weekley and TaNyia Martinovics; great nieces: Nazaireyah Thomas and Kamarieyah Nelson; great nephew: Amius Martinovics; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
