The Salem City Council Tuesday night will consider bids for two improvement projects.

The low bid from T and L Contracting, Inc of $82,317 is being recommended for curb and gutter replacement on portions of Woodland Drive and Hawthorne Estates.  They were one of five bidders.

The lone bid for installing a pitched roof on the office portion of the Waste Water Treatment Plant from McCoy Construction and Roofing is being recommended.  Their bid was $44,250.  Plans are to use the $20,000 remaining in this year’s budget and take the remainder out of next year’s budget.

The council will be asked to concur with the Salem Planning Commission to approve a special use permit for T-Squared Holdings, LLC to use the former Paradise Flowers building at 730 North Broadway for a property management office.  The council approved the special use in the residential zone at its last meeting.

The council meeting begins at six Tuesday night at Salem City Hall.
