Kevin Dale Bandy, 65, of Kell, Illinois, and formerly Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, died at his home on January 30, 2024.
Kevin was born August 23, 1958, in Salem, Illinois. He was the son of Vernon Joseph Bandy and Rita Darlene (Mulvaney) Bandy. Kevin is survived by his children, Taylor Bandy and Reed Bandy of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. In addition to his children, Kevin is survived by his brother, Steven Lee Bandy and wife, Pamela, of Salem, Illinois; his brother Gary Joseph Bandy, and wife, Tammy, of Johnston City, Illinois; his sister, Carol Ann (Bandy) Vieira, and her husband, Mike, of Kinmundy, Illinois. He is also survived by his beloved niece and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Devin Amanda Bandy, and his nephew, Kyle Little. He was a registered pharmacist in Florida and Illinois for more than 40 years. He graduated from the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri in 1981. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at noon at Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, Illinois. The family will greet friends from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home. In accordance with Kevin’s wishes, he will be cremated. Kevin enjoyed Rock & Roll music, bird hunting, fishing, and golf during his spare time, as well as spending time with his beloved family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kevin and his daughter Devin’s honor to the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation in St. Louis, Missouri.
