2024 02/02 – Betty Branch

Betty Louise Branch, age 91 of Salem, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Twin Willows Nursing Center.

Betty was born August 13, 1932, in Omega, the only child of Frank and Verta (VanSickle) Simer.  She married Cecil Allen Branch on July 29, 1949, in Henderson, KY and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Craig of Salem, Kathy Davis and husband Steve of Comfort, TX, and Carolyn Walker and husband Richard of Salem; seven grandchildren, Chuck Craig and wife Elizabeth of Parker, CO, Angela Richardson and husband Doug of Red Wood City, CA, Tony Craig and wife Jennifer of Salem, Wendy Still and husband Dan of Comfort, TX, Jackie East of Salem, Brian Davis of San Antonio, TX, and Crystal Reznack and husband Andrew of Edwardsville; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Verta Simer; husband Cecil Allen Branch; daughter, Victoria Nance; and son-in-law, Robert Nance.

Betty worked alongside her husband running Branch Equipment Co. a Massey Ferguson dealership in Salem, and later ran Branch Mobile Home Sales.  They moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas where they lived for 27 years before moving to Texas and then back to Salem.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She was a devoted wife and mother.

Funeral Services for Betty Louise Branch will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Phil Martin officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service.  Private burial will be in Paradise Cemetery following the service.  Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home.  Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
