Judith Lorraine “Judy” Wessling, 85, of Sandoval passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
The world began a brighter place when she was born on December 20, 1938, the daughter of Howard E. and Lena A. (Kaehler) Warren in Sandoval. She married William Dean Deadmond on April 22, 1955, and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1974. She found love a second time with her marriage to Joseph G. Wessling on July 3, 1981, in Sandoval and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2012.
Survivors who will look back at the amazing life Judy lived with appreciation and love include her children, Teri Lyn Deadmond of Denver, Colorado, Billy Dean Deadmond and wife Janet of Peoria, Illinois, and Rusty Dean Deadmond of Arvada, Colorado; grandchildren, Samuel Deadmond and wife Britta Johnson, and Molly Deadmond both of Peoria, Illinois; special friend, Tina Herman of Denver, Colorado; honorary grandsons, George Macz, and Charles Macz of Sandoval; sister, Darlene Thomas of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husbands, Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and her infant daughter, Judith Ann Deadmond.
Judy was the epitome of a lady full of life, who was always ready to share positivity, encouragement, and love. She was no stranger to hard work. In fact, she preferred it. Judy was a loyal employee and welcome, smiling face at the Post Office in Sandoval, where she worked as a postal clerk for 18 years. She also shared her dedication and organizational skills while working in the office at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for 5 years. She was a pillar of her community, ever ready to make a difference, serving on both the Sandoval City Board, and the Sandoval City Cemetery Association. Her hobbies were too vast to include them all, but Judy had many dear memories of traveling with her children, happy to visit wonderful, new destinations with them. She was an avid reader who appreciated reading the same series with her book buddy so they could discuss their take on the book and then enjoy the movie. Judy’s beautiful soul came through in every treasured quilt she carefully made. She enjoyed caring for her flower garden and sprucing up Main Street with its beautiful colors. She had a heart for animals and truly enjoyed her pet’s companionship. Judy was fun and sassy, easily making anyone having a bad day smile and laugh. She loved her family fiercely and would do absolutely anything for them. Judy’s amazing life will endure in the hearts of her family and friends whom she adored and loved without ceasing.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with her dear George Macz, and Tony Marcum officiating. A private family graveside service will be held at Sandoval City Cemetery. Friends and relatives are welcome to a visiting time to offer words of comfort to her family from noon until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home in Sandoval.
