Mary Sizemore, age 99, a longtime resident of Keyesport Illinois passed away at 11:59 on January 2, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 1, 1924, in Thousandsticks, Kentucky, a daughter of Cash and Ophia Keen.
Mary was the loving wife of McKinley Sizemore, who preceded her in death. She was also a loving mother and member of the Wisetown Church. She loved spending time with her family, walking her dog, evening drives around Carlyle Lake, gardening, and telling captivating stories to family and friends.
She is survived by 7 children, Evelyn (Ken) Hayden of Centralia, Illinois, Mary (Ron) Mallory of Blairsville, Georgia, Lt. Col Bill Sizemore (retired) of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Ken (Nancy) Sizemore (of) Fleming Island, Florida, Barbara (Randy) Roberts, Rick (Susan) Sizemore of Santa Clarita, California, and Karen (Dennis) Ellison of Portland, Texas. Mrs. Sizemore is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cash and Ophia Keen; a grandson, Brian Ennen; a son-in-law, Randy Roberts; 4 sisters, Ruby Keen, Ruth Pendergrass, May Woods, and Martha Woods; and 6 brothers, Bill Keen, John Keen, Craft Keen, Bob Keen, Sam Keen, and Ralph Keen.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Wisetown Baptist Church near Keyesport, with Rev. Thomas Rankin, officiating. Interment will follow at McKendree Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 1100 A.M. on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Wisetown Baptist Church.
